Our Strategy
Neuro Minority Activists Association and Young Activists build equality and community for people from neuro minorities through events, social advocacy and information sharing.
To achieve the aims of the association, the association:
- Actively influencing decision-makers and social actors
- Sharing information and raising awareness on issues related to the neuro-diverse minority
- Organises training courses
- Organises demonstrations and other campaigns
- Provides peer support and safer spaces.
Sharing knowledge, expertise and the experiences of people with neuropathy are at the heart of our work. The association brings forward research, expert opinions and position papers that support the rights and needs of the neuro-diverse minority in today's society. When policy makers and other actors in society better understand the neuroethnic minority and the benefits of supporting them, they can make more informed decisions that benefit everyone.
For many members of the neuro-diverse minority, survival in society is currently very challenging. That is why the role of the association is:
- Provide information on the different neurotypes
- Provide advocacy, i.e. information about the services and rights that people with neurodisability have
- To create peer-to-peer activities and safer spaces
The association also organises training courses, events and workshops that provide an opportunity for professionals and organisations from different fields to learn and discuss issues related to the neuro-diverse minority. These events bring together experts, policy makers and people from the neuro-diverse minority, promoting dialogue and social change.
The association's activities and expertise are based on researched knowledge, lived experience and other expertise. This combination ensures that the association's message and activities are both effective and credible.
